Emmy award winning journalist Cynthia Demos is the morning and noon anchor for CBS4 News.  She is a native of Miami and is happy to be back home covering the stories in the area she loves.  Cynthia's worked in four other markets for about a decade before coming back to Miami in 2007.  Her first on-air job was in Panama City, FL (Ch 7, WJHG) then on to Winston-Salem, NC (Ch. 12, WXII), West Palm Beach, FL (Ch. 5, WPTV) and Orlando, FL (Ch.9, WFTV).

She's covered more than a dozen hurricanes (standing in the midst of most of them), the presidential debacle of 2000, NASA, even traveling to Israel for the first Israeli astronauts' flight into space.  She broke the national story about a woman who went to a hospital to deliver a baby and came out with her arms and legs amputated.  She revealed explicit video of a college student smoking an herb called Salvia (with LSD side affects) and the drug was later made illegal in the state of Florida.
